A small aircraft made a dramatic emergency landing on a public road in San Miguel de Abona, in the south of Tenerife, on Thursday. The plane struck a lamp post and trees as it skidded across the road, sending tourists running for their lives. Miraculously, no serious injuries were reported — the pilots walked away unaided, and an investigation into the cause is underway.
